Labor Doula Services
Labor doulas are trained and experienced in childbirth. They stay alongside you throughout your labor. The doula offers help and advice on comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation, movement and positioning. She also assists families in gathering information about the course of their labor.
Labor support Includes prenatal and post partum meetings, 24-hour on call support, massage and counter pressure, positioning for mother’s comfort and to facilitate fetal descent and rotation, digital photos of your baby immediately after birth and more.
Clinical trials have demonstrated that the presence of a doula is also associated with:
- Reduction of cesarean rates
- Reduction in use of forceps
- Less requests for epidurals
- Shorter labor

Postpartum Doula Services
A postpartum doula focuses on the needs of the new mother as wellas the newborn. Trained specifically as a newborn specialist, she will nurture the mother by offering practical assistance as well as emotional support thus enabling new moms to recover faster and feel more confident in meeting the challenges a new baby brings. The postpartum doula is a mentor who will answer questions and provide assurance in a gentle, non-judgmental way.
Postpartum doulas bring the following benefits:

Flexible hourly packages and overnights available. Day hours are sold in 16 hour packages. Overnights are from 9pm to 7am and are priced a flat rate per night.
